Hello! I’m Steph DeSimone Boxer and I am a freelance illustrator and designer based in Queens, New York. Using bold, primary colors and graphic layouts, my work draws inspiration from comic art, children’s books, block printing and surrealism, often referencing specific memories and nostalgia. I have a background in printmaking, and while using mostly digital processes now, I always try to infuse my work with a hand-made feel and a touch of whimsy. I believe that imperfections are what makes art (or anything) especially beautiful. Having worked in the graphic design industry for over a decade, communication and story-telling through research and dynamic composition is something I value. Most importantly, no matter the subject, I aim to approach my illustrations with a sense of childlike joyfulness and wonder.
